Tom Brady and Mike Vrabel were at odds on social media after the Patriots lost to the Chiefs.
Tom Brady and Mike Vrabel had a public spat over social media. The two shared the same opinion on how to fix the issue of players kneeling during the national anthem.

At Tampa Bay Buccaneers training camp this week, one of Tom Brady’s old New England Patriots colleagues was prepared for Brady’s wit.
Mike Vrabel, the head coach of the Tennessee Titans, played with Brady in the New England Patriots from 2001 to 2008. According to the Tennessean, the former Patriots linebacker received eight touchdown passes from Brady in goal-line situations.
Vrabel was a perfect 8-0 on Brady passes in his career, and the Buccaneers quarterback couldn’t help but chastise the Titans coach during a joint practice between the two teams.
Brady said, “I believe he’s toned down a little bit in his old age.” “As a player, he was a lot more chatty, so he whined a lot when I didn’t give him the ball, like a normal diva receiver. As a coach, I believe he has softened a little.”

That night, Vrabel made a social media return with a picture of himself, Brady, and Brady’s eldest kid, Jack.
“Jack Brady is speaking with a former Patriot who is one of his favorites. “Tom Brady is also pictured,” Vrabel wrote.

Titans Rumor, Brady on Vrabel
Despite the jabs, Brady praised Vrabel as a coach, particularly after meeting the Titans defense in practice. On Wednesday, Brady fired a flurry of missed passes against the Titans.
“He’s doing an excellent job. Brady described him as a “wonderful coach.” “Obviously, he was a fantastic player, so he teaches in the manner in which he would have played: try to be clever, really make them defeat you, and they’ve always done a terrific job of it.”
This week, Brady emphasized that the Titans were not the unknown club that passed on him in free agency. Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill was not the focus of his NSFW remark on HBO’s The Shop, which sparked a flurry of NFL speculation.
Brady said, “I like Ryan a lot.” “He’s a fantastic player. He’s clearly a fantastic team leader. He’s done a fantastic job. He had a fantastic year last year, and the year before that he had a fantastic year. He’s defeated me a couple of times.”
Brady and Vrabel Cross Paths in College and the Pros
Brady and Vrabel have a history dating back to their college days, when Brady was a member of the Michigan football team and Vrabel was a member of the archrival Ohio State football team in the 1990s. Varbel, 46, is two years Brady’s senior and has never challenged him on the field. Brady was named Michigan’s starting quarterback in 1998, two years after Vrabel’s senior season at Ohio State in 1996.
They went on to win three Super Bowls in New England, with Brady throwing touchdown passes to Vrabel in two of them. Vrabel resigned from the NFL in 2010 and progressed through the ranks of college and NFL coaching. In 2018, he was hired by the Titans.
As a Patriot with a 0-2 record, Brady didn’t fare well against Vrabel’s Titans. Brady’s last game as a Patriot was in January 2020, before he signed with the Buccaneers.
Brady will not play against Vrabel’s Titans for the third time on Saturday, as Bucs head coach Bruce Arians has chosen to rest his starters. It might also be the Bucs’ last meeting with the Titans in Brady’s career. According to Buccaneers.com, the Titans are not on the Buccaneers’ schedule this year or next.
It’s not out of the question that Tampa Bay and Tennessee meet in the Super Bowl, and if that happens, Brady and Vrabel may trade additional jabs.
